I created this artwork to work through some strong residual emotions I uncovered recently about giving birth to my baby boy. A little close-up of the lace detail shows the intricacy and delicateness of this artwork. It’s still a bit raw for me to articulate verbally, but I felt and still do feel some sense of movement and unfolding peace.
I have a feeling there will be a sequel to this artwork as I move further into owning and understanding my experience of birthing and how it continues to shape me.

I am barren by choice because the whole thing scares the crap out of me, so i hope one day words will come so I may understand..
